I have a really bad feeling about this ...

I started watching the Star Wars marathon on tv the other night, not those newer movies but the old classics. Technically the final three, but in terms of date the very first three movies released. I guess I've never fully watched the movies on my own, as I do with other movies, but I forgot how excellent they are. The lines, the plot, and although the effects are slightly hokey due to the age of the films, it still embodies everything a good entertaining movies needs. Fights, love interests/love triangles, cliff hangers, conflicts outside of the major plot, its the type of film that doesn't exist today. Anything nearly as cultish as that is the Harry Potter franchise but it still isn't the same. Getting to spend a few hours watching a young Harrison Ford run around as Han Solo is especially a treat. I never realized how incredibly handsome he was as a young man and still is today. His overall look is so appealing and sexy in the three films that I have this huge attraction to him. He went on to play Indiana Jones which just emphasized his hotness. I'm looking forward to watching them again in a few days when they cycle through again. Getting to watch Han Solo run around, running his mouth and giving all the girls something to love. Your heart literally flutters when Leia boasts "I love you" and he responds "I know". He is a badass. Altogether I have this crush on the young Harrison, more so on the character of Han Solo. These are the types of movies that last a lifetime and longer because of how much went into making them. The quality is evident and even in our age of 3D and HD everything, I enjoy seeing what movies once were like and how far they have come. I'll leave you with Han Solo's words of wisdom, "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid"
